Benefits of Membership

The Newsletter: members receive the full-colour, A4-size, professional-quality, 20-page Newsletter which is published 3 times a year.
It contains articles written by members about paperweights, paperweight makers and paperweight collectors.

Meetings: 3 or 4 meetings are held each year in various locations around the UK; occasionally in the summer in the form of a Garden Party.
Meet fellow collectors, learn more about paperweights or bring along paperweights for identification.
Meetings usually commence with a lunch followed by a talk from one of our collectors, paperweight makers or an expert in a related field.
Paperweight dealers are present, so there’s plenty of opportunity to see a wide range of paperweights.

Please Note: in order to help cover the costs of hiring the venue for meetings, maintaining the projection equipment, assisting speakers with their expenses and providing refreshments, a small charge is levied for those members who do not sign up for the lunch.
The current charge is £5.00 per head.

Trips: trips are organised to places of interest to paperweight collectors. In the past
the club has visited Venice, the Czech Republic and Poland (in particular places in former Bohemia and Silesia), France, Belgium and Germany.
We have been pleased to welcome both European and American members on our trips.

Exhibitions: public exhibitions are held every few years; for instance in 2006 we staged the 25th Anniversary Exhibition at London Olympia and in 2013 we organized a major weekend event featuring the work of the Ysart family, including an exhibition of over 400 paperweights.

Access to expertise and archives: as a member you can access the archive of paperweight-related articles, information, video clips, books etc.
A number of videos are available for hire.  Back copies of some of the previous issues of the Newsletter are also available to purchase.

For information about hiring videos etc., please use either the email or postal address on the Contact page.
